Maltot is a French commune with 1,036 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Évrecy . The inhabitants are known as Maltutais .

geography

Maltot is about 8.5 km southwest of Caen , in the east the municipality is bounded by the Orne . The municipality is surrounded by Éterville in the north, Louvigny in the northeast, Saint-André-sur-Orne in the east, Feuguerolles-Bully in the southeast and south, Vieux in the southwest and Fontaine-Étoupefour in the west and northwest.
