Saline is a commune in the French department of Calvados in Normandy . It belongs there to the canton of Troarn in the arrondissement of Caen . It was created as Commune nouvelle by a decree of July 29, 2016 with effect from January 1, 2017, by merging the previous municipalities of Sannerville and Troarn . Since then, these have been Communes déléguées . Troarn is the main town (chief lieu).
