Saint-André-sur-Orne (until 1911: Saint-André-de-Fontenay ) is a French municipality with 1831 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Caen-5 (until 2015: canton of Bourguébus ).
geography
Saint-André-sur-Orne is about seven kilometers south of Caen am Orne , which forms the western municipal boundary. Saint-André-sur-Orne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fleury-sur-Orne in the north, Saint-Martin-de-Fontenay in the east, May-sur-Orne in the south, Feuguerolles-Bully in the west and southwest, and Maltot and Louvigny in the Northwest.
