Le Détroit is about 11 km west of Falaise . The municipality is surrounded by Tréprel in the north, Pierrepont in the northeast, Les Loges-Saulces in the east, Rapilly in the southeast and south, Le Mesnil-Villement in the southwest, Pont-d'Ouilly in the west and Pierrefitte-en-Cinglais in the northwest.
