Épaney is a French municipality with 514 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Falaise . The inhabitants are known as Épanéens .

geography

Épaney is located in the south of the Caen plain , around 7 km north-northeast of Falaise and 34 km south-southeast of Caen . The municipality is surrounded by Olendon in the north, Perrières in the northeast and east, Damblainville in the southeast, Versainville in the south, Saint-Pierre-Canivet in the southwest and Bons-Tassilly in the west and northwest.
