Les Moutiers-en-Cinglais is located about 20 km south-southwest of Caen and 25 km northwest of Falaise . The municipality is surrounded by Grimbosq in the north-west and north, Saint-Laurent-de-Condel in the north-east and east, Espins in the south-east, Croisilles in the south and south-west and Montillières-sur-Orne with Goupillières in the west.
