Amayé-sur-Orne ( ) is a French municipality with 1,001 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Évrecy .

Amayé-sur-Orne is located on the Orne , around 14 kilometers southwest of Caen and 6 kilometers from Évrecy . Amayé-sur-Orne is surrounded in the north and north-east by Feuguerolles-Bully , in the east by Clinchamps-sur-Orne , in the south-east by Mutrécy , in the south and south-west by Maizet , in the west by Avenay and in a north-west to north direction by Vieux .
