Cresserons is a French commune with 1,145 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Courseulles-sur-Mer (until 2015: canton of Douvres-la-Délivrande ). The inhabitants are called Cresseronnais .
geography
Cresserons is about eleven kilometers north of Caen near the coast of the English Channel (section of the mother-of-pearl coast - Côte de Nacre ). Cresserons is surrounded by the neighboring communities Luc-sur-Mer in the north, Lion-sur-Mer in the northeast, Hermanville-sur-Mer in the east, Plumetot and Mathieu in the south and Douvres-la-Délivrande in the west.
