Le Bô ( pronunciation ? / I ) is a French municipality with 116 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . It belongs to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Thury-Harcourt . Audio file / audio sample

Geographical location

Le Bô is about 40 km from Caen , 24 km from Falaise and 15 km from Thury-Harcourt , the capital of the canton. The community includes ten hamlets .

history

In 1167 the lords of La Pommeraye donated some churches, including that of Le Bô. At the same time, this meant that the place was subsequently under their rule. Until 1930 the municipality was called Saint-Pierre-du-Bô .
