Sannerville is a former French commune with last 1,792 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy ; it belonged to the arrondissement of Caen and the canton of Troarn . The inhabitants are called Sannervillais .

Sannerville is about ten kilometers east of Caen .

The municipality of Sannerville was surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Touffréville in the north, Troarn in the east, Banneville-la-Campagne in the south, Démouville in the west and Cuverville in the northwest.

history

In 1059 the place is mentioned as Salneri villa .

The municipality of Sannerville merged with Troarn on January 1st, 2017 to form the new municipality of Saline .
