Emil Enzmann
Emil Enzmann (born November 26, 1921 in Schüpfheim ; † August 12, 2016 in Waldkirch ) was a Swiss doctor and car designer.
Career
The Country Doctor Emil Enzmann built in the early 1950s on their own on a VW Beetle - chassis a sports car with a plastic body. This was made of polyester and was particularly stiff due to its doorless construction. After a long test phase, the car was shown at the Comptoir Suisse in Lausanne in 1956 and a year later as the Enzmann 506 at the International Motor Show in Frankfurt. The Enzmann 506 was manufactured in small series until 1968.
