Saint-Martin-de-Sallen is a former French commune in the department of Calvados in the region of Normandy . On January 1, 2016, Saint-Martin-de-Sallen was incorporated into the new municipality of Le Hom together with four neighboring municipalities as part of a regional reform . Saint-Martin-de-Sallen last had 618 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013).
geography
Saint-Martin-de-Sallen is the largest district in terms of area of Le Homs and is located about 28 km northwest of Falaise and the same distance south-southwest of Caen . It is surrounded by Curcy-sur-Orne , also part of Le Hom, in the north, Thury-Harcourt , administrative seat of Le Hom, in the north-east, Esson in the east, Caumont-sur-Orne , also Le Hom, in the south-east, Culey- le-Patry in the south and south-west, Campandré-Valcongrain in the west and Hamars , the westernmost part of Le Homs, in a north-westerly direction.
