On January 1, 2016, Curcy-sur-Orne was incorporated into the new municipality of Le Hom as part of a regional reform along with four neighboring municipalities . The inhabitants will be known as Curçois .

Curcy-sur-Orne is around 25 km southwest of Caen and 28 km northwest of Falaise . The district is surrounded by La Caine in the north, Ouffières in the northeast, Croisilles in the east, Thury-Harcourt , also part and headquarters of Le Hom, in the southeast, Saint-Martin-de-Sallen , also part of Le Hom, in the south , Hamars , also Le Hom, in the southwest, Bonnemaison in the west and Courvaudon in the northwest.
