Johann Schrenk
Johann Schrenk (* 1948 in Augsburg ) is a German author and publisher .
Life
Johann Schrenk attended the humanistic grammar school of the Benedictine monastery Scheyern in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm . He studied sociology and economic and social history at the University of Hamburg . He put his degree in 1974 and received his doctorate in 1979, Dr. phil.
Johann Schrenk published numerous books, mostly travel guides , about his home region. He currently lives in Röttenbach in the Middle Franconian district of Roth , where he has been running a publishing company since 2017. Together with Hermann Glaser he publishes the new book series “Buchfranken”. In 1998 he founded the Goethe Society Gunzenhausen e. V., of which he has been the first chairman since then. Since 2014 he has been chairman of the Altmühlfranken cultural initiative .
