La Roche-Vineuse is located about nine kilometers northwest of Mâcon in the Mâconnais in the Bourgogne wine region . La Roche-Vineuse is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Verzé in the north, Laizé in the northeast, Hurigny in the east, Chevagny in the southeast, Prissé in the south, Bussières in the southwest, Milly-Lamartine in the west and Berzé-la-Ville in the northwest.
