Verzé is a French municipality with 787 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mâcon and the canton of Hurigny (until 2015: canton of Mâcon-Nord ). The inhabitants are called Verzéens .

geography

Verzé is about ten kilometers northwest of Mâcon in the Mâconnais in the Bourgogne wine region . Verzé is surrounded by the neighboring communities Igé in the north, Saint-Maurice-de-Satonnay in the northeast, Laizé in the east, La Roche-Vineuse in the south, Berzé-la-Ville in the west and southwest, Berzé-le-Châtel in the west and northwest as well as Cluny in the northwest.
