La Truchère is located about 23 kilometers north-northeast of Mâcon and about 34 kilometers south-southeast of Chalon-sur-Saône in the Bourgogne wine region . Here the Seille flows into the Saône . La Truchère is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Préty in the north, Ratenelle in the east, Sermoyer in the south and south-east and Le Villars in the west and north-west.
