Mazille is a French commune in the department of Saone-et-Loire in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement of Mâcon and the canton of Cluny .

geography

Mazille is bordered to the southeast by the Grosne River . Mazille is about 10 kilometers from Cluny and 20 kilometers from Mâcon .

Culture

In Mazille there is a Carmelite monastery with around 30 religious sisters (as of 2015). The monastery, the Carmel de la Paix , was designed by the architect Josep Lluís Sert .
