Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017
As a result of the reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017, the arrondissement Mâcon was given the area of the ten communes Chevagny-sur-Guye , Chiddes , Joncy , La Guiche , Pressy-sous-Dondin , Saint-Marcelin-de-Cray , Saint-Martin-la- Patrouille , Saint-Martin-de-Salencey , Sivignon and Verosvres from the arrondissement Charolles and the area of the commune of Saint-Clément-sur-Guye from the arrondissement Chalon-sur-Saône .
Instead, the area of the two municipalities of Ratenelle and Romenay changed from the Arrondissement of Mâcon to the Arrondissement of Louhans , the area of the six municipalities of Change , Cheilly-lès-Maranges , Dezize-lès-Maranges , Paris-l'Hôpital , Saint-Sernin-du-Plain and Sampigny-lès-Maranges to the arrondissement of Chalon-sur-Saône .
