The Arrondissement Louhans is an administrative unit of the Saône-et-Loire department in the French region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté . The main town ( sub-prefecture ) is Louhans .
Since 2015 it has consisted of four cantons and 88 municipalities (before the reorganization in connection with the general council elections , the arrondissement consisted of eight cantons).

Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017
As a result of the reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017, the area of the seven municipalities of Baudrières , L'Abergement-Sainte-Colombe , Lessard-en-Bresse , Ouroux-sur-Saône , Saint-Christophe-en-Bresse , Saint-Germain-du- Plain and Tronchy from the Arrondissement Chalon-sur-Saône and the area of the two municipalities Ratenelle and Romenay from the Arrondissement Mâcon assigned to the Arrondissement Louhans.

climate
The climate in the Arrondissement of Louhans is warm and temperate. There is significant rainfall throughout the year, even the driest month still has high rainfall. The Köppen-Geiger climate classification is Cfb . The annual average temperature is 11.0 ° C. Spread over a year, the rainfall adds up to 818 mm. The increase in rainfall along the eastern flank of the arrondissement can be clearly seen.
