Lacrost is located about 27 kilometers north-northeast of Mâcon and about 36 kilometers south-southeast of Chalon-sur-Saône in the wine-growing region of Bourgogne on the Saône . Lacrost is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Simandre in the north and northeast, L'Abergement-de-Cuisery in the east and southeast, Préty in the south and Tournus in the west.
