Chénas is located about 18 kilometers north-northwest of Villefranche-sur-Saône . Chénas is surrounded by the neighboring communities Juliénas in the north, La Chapelle-de-Guinchay in the east, Romanèche-Thorins in the southeast, Fleurie in the south and southwest and Émeringes in the west and northwest.
