Lamure-sur-Azergues is located 43 kilometers north-northwest of Lyon , about 32 kilometers east-northeast of Roanne and about 19 kilometers northwest of Villefranche-sur-Saône am Azergues . Lamure-sur-Azergues is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Claveisolles in the north, Vaux-en-Beaujolais in the east, Saint-Cyr-le-Chatoux in the south-east, Chambost-Allières in the south, Grandris in the south-west and Saint-Nizier-d'Azergues in the West and northwest.
