Trivia
The novel Clochemerle by Gabriel Chevallier (1895–1969) about a fictional place in Beaujolais is modeled on Vaux-en-Beaujolais. The fictional coat of arms of the city is sometimes treated as if it belonged to Vaux-en-Beaujolais.
