Val d'Oingt is a commune in the French department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the canton of Le Bois-d'Oingt in the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône .
It was created as Commune nouvelle by a decree of September 22, 2016 with effect from January 1, 2017, by merging the previous municipalities of Oingt , Le Bois-d'Oingt and Saint-Laurent-d'Oingt . Since then, these have been Communes deleguées . Le Bois-d'Oingt is the main town (Chef-lieu).
