Deux-Grosnes is a little after two streams (Grosne Orientale and Grosne Occidentale) named French community in Beaujolais with 1,905 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône and the canton of Thizy-les-Bourgs .
Deux-Grosnes was created as a new large commune ( Commune nouvelle ) with effect from January 1, 2019 by merging the previous communes of Monsols , Avenas , Ouroux , Saint-Christophe , Saint-Jacques-des-Arrêts , Saint-Mamert and Trades , respectively have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Monsols.

Attractions
In addition to the charming hilly landscape, the town of Avenas offers the impressively simple church Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption with an extraordinary Romanesque altar . The churches in most of the other places also have medieval origins.
