Ronno is a French municipality with 636 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône , to the canton of Thizy-les-Bourgs (until 2015: canton of Amplepuis ) and is a member of the community association L'Ouest Rhodanien .
geography
Ronno is located around 45 kilometers northwest of Lyon and about 26 kilometers west-northwest of Villefranche-sur-Saône . In the far north-west of the municipality there is a small part of the (artificial) lake Lac des Sapins . Ronno is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Cublize in the north, Saint-Just-d'Avray and Saint-Appolinaire in the east, Valsonne in the south and south-east, Amplepuis in the south and south-west and Saint-Jean-la-Bussière in the west and north-west.
