Lozanne is located in the Bourgogne wine-growing region on the Azergues River , into which the Brevenne flows. Lozanne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Jean-des-Vignes in the north, Chazay-d'Azergues in the northeast, Civrieux-d'Azergues in the east, Dommartin in the south and southeast, Lentilly in the south, Fleurieux-sur-l'Arbresle in the Southwest, Châtillon to the west and northwest and Belmont-d'Azergues to the west.
