Émeringes is located about 20 kilometers south-west of Mâcon and about 32 kilometers north-north-west of Villefranche-sur-Saône . Émeringes is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Jullié in the north, Juliénas in the northeast, Chénas in the east, Fleurie in the south and southeast and Vauxrenard in the west and southwest.
