Le Breuil is located around 23 kilometers northwest of Lyon and around 14 kilometers southwest of Villefranche-sur-Saône in the Bourgogne wine region . Le Breuil is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Légny and Val d'Oingt with Le Bois-d'Oingt in the north, Bagnols in the northeast, Chessy in the east, Saint-Germain-sur-l'Arbresle in the southeast, Bully in the south and Sarcey in the west .
