Légny is a French municipality with 667 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône , the canton Le Bois-d'Oingt and the municipal association of Beaujolais Pierres Dorées . The inhabitants are called Légnéens .
geography
Légny is located around 23 kilometers northwest of Lyon and around 13 kilometers southwest of Villefranche-sur-Saône in the Bourgogne wine region . Légny is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Val d'Oingt with Le Bois-d'Oingt in the north and east, Le Breuil in the south, Sarcey in the west and south-west and Saint-Vérand in the west and north-west.
