Marcy (also: Marcy-sur-Anse ) is a French municipality with 726 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône and the canton of Anse . The inhabitants are called Marcillansois .
geography
Marcy is located around 20 kilometers north-north-west of Lyon and around eight kilometers south-south-west of Villefranche-sur-Saône in the Bourgogne wine region . Marcy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lachassagne in the north, Lucenay in the east, Morancé in the south and south-east, Charnay in the south and south-west and Alix in the west.
