Morancé is a French commune with 1,970 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône and is part of the canton of Anse . The inhabitants are called Morancéens .
geography
Morancé is located about 20 kilometers northwest of Lyon in the Bourgogne wine-growing region in the Azergues Valley , which borders the municipality to the east. Morancé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lucenay in the north, Les Chères in the east, Chazay-d'Azergues in the south, Saint-Jean-des-Vignes in the south and south-west, Charnay in the west and Marcy in the north-west.
