geography

Morancé is located about 20 kilometers northwest of Lyon in the Bourgogne wine-growing region in the Azergues Valley , which borders the municipality to the east. Morancé is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lucenay in the north, Les Chères in the east, Chazay-d'Azergues in the south, Saint-Jean-des-Vignes in the south and south-west, Charnay in the west and Marcy in the north-west.
