Corcelles-en-Beaujolais is a French commune of 942 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône and the canton of Belleville . The inhabitants are called Courcellois .

geography

Corcelles-en-Beaujolais is located about 45 kilometers north-north-west of Lyon in the Bourgogne wine region . Corcelles-en-Beaujolais is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lancié in the north, Dracé in the east, Belleville-en-Beaujolais (with Saint-Jean-d'Ardières ) in the south and Villié-Morgon in the west.

The former route nationale 6 (today's D306) runs through the municipality .
