Saint-Nizier-d'Azergues is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Poule-les-Écharmeaux in the north, Claveisolles in the east, Lamure-sur-Azergues in the southeast, Grandris in the south, Meaux-la-Montagne in the southwest, Saint-Bonnet-le- Troncy to the west and Ranchal to the northwest.
