Saint-Étienne-des-Oullières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Odenas in the north, Charentay in the northeast, Saint-Georges-de-Reneins in the east, Blacé in the south, Salles-Arbuissonnas-en-Beaujolais in the southwest, Le Perréon in the west and Saint -Étienne-la-Varenne to the west and north-west.
