Saint-Etienne-des-Oullières is a French commune with 2,207 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône and the canton of Gleizé (until 2015: canton of Belleville ). The inhabitants are called Stéphanois .

Saint-Étienne-des-Oullières is located about 37 kilometers north-northwest of Lyon and about ten kilometers north-northwest of Villefranche-sur-Saône . The Vauxonne flows through the municipality . Saint-Étienne-des-Oullières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Odenas in the north, Charentay in the northeast, Saint-Georges-de-Reneins in the east, Blacé in the south, Salles-Arbuissonnas-en-Beaujolais in the southwest, Le Perréon in the west and Saint -Étienne-la-Varenne to the west and north-west.
