Azolette is a French municipality with 120 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône and the canton of Thizy-les-Bourgs . The inhabitants are called azolettons .

geography

Azolette is about 14 kilometers northwest of Beaujeu in the Beaujolais countryside . Azolette is surrounded by the neighboring communities Propières in the east, Belleroche ( Loire department ) in the south and Saint-Germain-la-Montagne (Loire department) in the northeast.
