Limas is a French municipality with 4803 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Limas belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône and is part of the canton of Gleizé .

geography

Limas is located about thirty kilometers north of Lyon , directly on the southwest outskirts of Villefranche-sur-Saône . Limas is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villefranche-sur-Saône in the north and east, Anse (Rhône) in the south-east, Pommiers in the south and south-west and Gleizé in the west and north-west.

The A6 autoroute runs through the municipality .
