Claveisolles is a French municipality with 635 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Rhône in the region of Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of Villefranche-sur-Saône , to the canton of Thizy-les-Bourgs (until 2015: canton of Lamure-sur-Azergues ) and is a member of the community association L'Ouest Rhodanien . The inhabitants are called Claveisolliens .

Claveisolles is located about 45 kilometers north-northwest of Lyon and about 20 kilometers northwest of Villefranche-sur-Saône . Claveisolles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Poule-les-Écharmeaux in the north and northwest, Saint-Didier-sur-Beaujeu in the northeast, Marchampt in the east, Le Perréon in the southeast, Lamure-sur-Azergues in the south and Saint-Nizier-d'Azergues in the West.
