Paul Weir
Paul Weir (* 16th September 1967 in Glasgow , Scotland ) is a former British boxers in Halbfliegen- and straw weight .
Professional career
In 1992 he started his professional career successfully. On May 25, 1993, already in his 6th fight, he boxed in the straw weight against Fernando Martínez for the world title of the association WBO and won by knockout. However, he lost this belt in his second title defense in February of the following year to Josué Camacho .
On November 23 of the same year, already in his next fight, Weir was also WBO light flyweight world champion when he defeated Paul Oulden by unanimous decision. The following year he defended this title against Ric Magramo and lost it to Jacob Matlala .
In 2000 he ended his career.
