Paulo Frischknecht

Paulo José Frischknecht (born June 7, 1961 in Tomar ) is a former Portuguese swimmer .

During his active career, Frischknecht became several Portuguese champions and was a national record holder . He took part in the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal and 1980 in Moscow .

After retiring from competitive sports, he embarked on a career as a coach. At the same time he studied at the Sports Science Faculty of the Technical University of Lisbon .

He is currently President of the Portuguese Swimming Federation (FPN), Vice President of the Associação dos Atletas Olímpicos de Portugal, member of the Executive Committee of the Comité Olímpico de Portugal and member of the Technical Committee for Open Water Swimming at FINA .
