Paulo Machline

Paulo Machline (born September 30, 1967 in São Paulo , São Paulo ) is a Brazilian film director , screenwriter and producer .

Life

With his first work Uma História de Futebol (1998), a fictional short film about the childhood and adolescence of the Brazilian soccer star Pelé , for which Machline not only took over the production, but also wrote and directed the script, he landed a big one Success and was nominated for an Oscar in the “Short Film” category. In this combination of three he later acted in the documentary A Raça Síntese de Joãosinho Trinta (2009) and in the film drama Trinta (2013).

His only directorial work that has already been dubbed into German are the episodes Der Schwätzer (original title: Courageux mais pas téméraire ) and Tot oder Lebig ( Mort ou vif ) from the television series Großstadt Schocker ( Petits mythes urbains ), in which Omar Sharif played the leading role .
