Paulo Teixeira Jorge

Paulo Teixeira Jorge ( 1934 - June 26, 2010 in Luanda ) was an Angolan politician . From 1976 to 1984 he was his country's foreign minister.

After attending school in Luanda and Benguela , Jorge studied geophysics and chemistry from 1956 . In the same year he joined the MPLA . After working as a factory worker in Paris from 1963 to 1965, he subsequently took over delegations from the MPLA to Egypt and Algeria. After Angola's independence, he took on a number of management functions. He was temporarily governor of the Benguela province. In the last few years he was responsible for international relations (with the exception of economic relations) on the MPLA's central committee.
