Pauluskirche (Friesdorf)

BW

The Pauluskirche in the Bonn district of Friesdorf, consecrated in 1960, was designed by the Krefeld architect Ernst Fohrer in a modern style. Community rooms are attached to the cubic church hall. The free-standing church tower, which contrasts with the clinker brick facade of the church, is architecturally striking.

The window pictures show the conversion of Paul . The altar was made of gray basalt. The cast-iron panels of the pulpit show the liberation of Paul from the dungeon at Philippi after an earthquake.

The organ (2 manuals and pedal, 24 registers) comes from Paul Ott's workshop and was built in 1966.

The Pauluskirche belongs to the Protestant Thomas parish in Bad Godesberg, as does the Christ Church and the St. Thomas Chapel .
