The pavilion of the Klopstockhaus , also known as the Klopstockgartenhaus, is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

location

The pavilion is located on the Schlossberg, south of Quedlinburg's old town at the western end of the garden belonging to the Klopstockhaus . The pavilion, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, rises above the Schenkgasse that runs past it directly to the west. In the Quedlinburg monument register it is registered as a garden house .

Architecture and history

The pavilion was placed on the west wall of the garden of the Klopstockhaus around 1780 and rises like a tower above Schenkgasse. It is designed as a two-storey half - timbered building and its design is in the tradition of garden or vineyard houses.

In 1965 the garden house was renovated and handed over to the Klopstock Museum.
