Pavel Petrovich Sokolov-Skalja
Pawel Petrowitsch Sokolow-Skalja ( Russian Павел Петрович Соколов-Скаля ; born July 3, 1899 in Strelna , † August 3, 1961 in Moscow ) was a Soviet painter and graphic artist.
From 1920 Sokolow-Skalja was chairman of the "Bytije" (Being) association and from 1926 belonged to the "Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia" (ACHRR). Between 1935 and 1941 he taught at the MB Grekow studio for military artists. At the time of the Second World War he was the editor-in-chief of " TASS-Fenster " and author of over 300 "Windows".
