The Payne Glacier is a glacier on Thurston Island off the Eights coast of West Antarctica Ellsworthland . It flows in the north of the Evans Peninsula to the Bellingshausen Sea , which it reaches east of Cape Walden .

The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 2003 after J. B. Payne, a crew member of aircraft in Operation Highjump (1946–1947) carried out by the United States Navy to create aerial photographs of Thurston Island and the neighboring mainland coast.
