The Provence Rugby Club is a rugby union club from the French city ​​of Aix-en-Provence in the Bouches-du-Rhône department . He is represented in the second highest league D2. The home games are played at the Stade Maurice-David .

history

The club was founded in 1970 under the name Aix Rugby Club (ARC). In 1979 he rose to the third highest national league. After relegation to the Regionalliga in 1984, he was immediately promoted again. The first highlight in the club's history was the championship title of the third division in 1986. In 1998 the ARC reached the final of the second division. In 2001 it was renamed Pays d'Aix Rugby Club (PARC).

In 2004, the PARC won the final of the Fédérale 1 and was French amateur champions. After two seasons in the Pro D2 professional league, he had to relegate to Fédérale 1. In 2009 they were promoted to the Pro D2 again, but the team was only able to hold their own for one season.
