The Pebble Beach ( English for pebble beach ) is a 200 m long and inaccessible beach on McDonald Island in the southern Indian Ocean . It is located south of Sandy Beach, which disappeared in a volcanic eruption in 2003 .
Australian scientists gave it its descriptive name.
