Isabelle Jänchen (born July 9, 1970 in Munich ) is a German economist and has been Professor of Public Finance and Economics at the Meißen University of Applied Sciences and Training Center since 2010 .

Life

After studying economics at the University of Heidelberg , she worked as a research assistant for Ulrich Blum and Armin Töpfer at the Technical University of Dresden as part of the DIN research project General Economic Benefits of Standardization. In 2008 she did her doctorate under Ulrich Blum on the subject of standardization strategies for entrepreneurs. Subsequently, Jänchen held a visiting professorship for finance and economic policy at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg from 2008 to 2010.

Since 2009 Jänchen has been working primarily in the area of ​​municipal budgeting and accounting. Among other things, she worked on the development of a uniform communal system of indicators for Saxony. She heads the Master of Public Governance (M. Sc.) Course at the Meißen University of Applied Sciences and Training Center .

In 2019, Jänchen took 27th place in the FAZ economist ranking in the field of politics.

Private

Isabelle Jänchen is married and has two children. She lives with her husband in Dresden .
